Ralliart vs EvoX Crank

I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

Is it true the difference between the Ralliart and EvoX crank is that the EvoX is forged?

If so, what would the max power the stock EvoX crank can hold?

A little insight as to why I ask, I'm looking to build a drag car and want to keep response and quick spool as a priority. I don't want to stroke the block out to lose on RPM but I'm going to bore/sleeve with 89mm pistons/rods, etc.

Thanks! I'm going to ask Kaizen directly then. Appreciated.

It was my impression that they were the same, as well; very unusual to hear this now. Looking forward to your findings

Confirmed. EvoX crank is forged and good to 500 hp.

I wanted to retain OEM stroke so this works perfectly for my project. I locked down an EvoX crank yesterday.

This came up back when people where saying that the internals of the ra were different then the x. From what i remember they had the same part number. I would double check this information and I'm not calling out on a tuners knowledge but it might be a way of getting unnecessary work done. Do some more research if your going to be spending that much money on motor work.

Plus i don't see why mitsu would use the same pistons and rods but different crank to save money?

edit
crankshaft Lancer; w/Ralliart 2.0L

MSRP Core ? Online Price
$880.92 $0.00 $761.56

crankshaft Lancer Evolution 2.0L

MSRP Core ? Online Price
$880.92 $0.00 $761.56

SAME price. I don't think these two parts are different. Your money though

Jason, if you are going to replace the crank, just build the entire motor.

this is probably the same as the whole oem cams situation they show up the same but they re different i believe the cams in the evos are a little bit more aggressive

The process to forge metal is more expensive so again I can't see mitsu charging the same price for both cranks if they are different. The cams which I still don't believe are different because that would mean more R&D for tuning and machining differences. As a company it is more efficient to mass produce a product rather then change little things here and there. It IS a lot cheaper to just advertise it as being different so people spend more money.

But who knows Mitsubishi does stupid things sometimes

I have verified, by part number, 100%, the CAMS ARE THE SAME! That's why I expected the same of the crank, but never bothered to look it up while at the dealership because it seemed so unlikely that they'd be different

I'm not replacing a crank to a stroker. I want to retain stock stroke to keep high RPM. I'm sleeving and boring with +1mm valves/rods/pistons.

I have a spare block and a builder that owes me a favour. This will all cost me very little as I already have the parts in-hand. It's just the cost to get the block in and out.

This is my spring project Still sticking to my CBRD Rad Lite turbo just to be stubborn as well. Hopefully I can get Kaizen to make the exhaust manifold as well.

Someone just confirmed to me that has both a Ralliart and EvoX crank in hand that they are visibly different and the EvoX is in fact forged.

Thats a bit of a bummer
Don't suppose anyone would know roughly what this means in terms of limits?
Suppose there's not too many built RA's and even fewer who went for bore vs stroker and pushing over 400tq
