SST behavior after applying sudden throttle

Hi everyone. I noticed some interesting behavior with my SST lately and don't know if this is normal and I've never paid attention to it, or if something is up. When cruising at some speed with no throttle and I apply sudden moderate throttle, the revs jump a bit (250 to 400rpm or so) before "catching". If I apply the throttle more gradually in a gear, or if I give it WOT from 5-10% throttle it behaves as expected without rev's bouncing up. Could it be the clutches slipping? I also have some very soft shifts w/ rev bleed for gears 1>2>3 after a cold start until the car warms up.

Appreciate any feedback!

They are most probably slipping. How many kms do you have on the car and have you done an SST fluid change?

The transmission only has 10k miles on it or so since it was replaced so it has original fluid.

You should record the tachometer and upload the video. I'm sure the community could troubleshoot the issue better.

Both modes. Oddly enough, I started noticed the mushy shifts when cold after I replaced my HKS air filter with a Cosworth one. I replaced it with an OEM Evo X/Ralliart filter and reset ECU learning thinking it could be caused by that. I'll see this week if that made any difference. If I'm in 5th gear at 2,500rpm with very light throttle and then go WOT, the revs do not bleed and it feels like the clutches are holding strong. The rev "blips" only occur if I'm completely off the throttle and then get on the gas in a more aggressive fashion. Are the clutches completely disengaged if there is no throttle input and the car is coasting at 40-50mph? Could the blip just be associated with them engaging as engine speed rises a bit?
