Recall C1311W

I know this has been discussed in many different threads and I tried my best to sift through the massive about of posts.

Just real quick though. I just bought a 2009 RA. I'm not planning on modding soon. The previous owner left the recall # C1311W undone. I've heard some rumors about this flash for the transmission essentially detunes the car to where it has less power. I have scheduled a appointment to have the recal done because I recently got a CEL and the car go into limp mode. The next day (ando so far knock on wood). The CEL didn't come back. I do know before it went away it was throwing some codes like shift fork and over torque or something. I'm thinking of getting this recall done as it is needed if I ever have to use my extended and I think the CELs are related to this recall.

I'm hoping if this tranny craps it's self (it has 80k) it happens while under warrenty so I don't want to give them any reason not to pay for it.

Your tranny's warranty expired at 36k and thats only if you're original owner. If you're second owner it's even less.

EDIT: I think it's actually 60k that the trans is covered til. Not 100% sure on that or else then yeah it's 36k. I forgot how the second owners and beyond are covered.
