PassThru CAN communication error on flash

So i can read my A/T numbers etc. When i proceed with the flash portion it gives me an error saying Communication Error ECU not responding.
I'm using the tactrix 2.0 port and followed the flash guide posted in the forums. I dont have a cel light and i've tried different laptops as well. Any suggestions?

A simple thing but is the ignition on?
Is the tactrix installed correctly with drivers?

Yeah the ignition is on 2 clicks just before crank. I just tried installing previous versions of the drivers from evoscan. Gonna try standalone drivers with no ECUflash installation.

I think my ECU might be locked to the previous owners tuner... would that prevent me from tampering with the TCU update?
I tried running ECUflash to read my rom, i only manage to get anywhere using slow read and that fails at 100%. all other protocols just fail immediately...

EDIT: Ok so i benched it and recovery flashed my ecu. all is well now when i read/write in cabin, but the f**ker still doesnt want to work with PASSThru CAN TCU update. Still giving me the same Communication Error ECU check ign switch and wiring harness.
