Sst transmission help
No is not skipping gears, is just wont accelerate, like I keep pushing the gas pedal the car is just keep slowing down, but after i stop the car and turn it off and on again, then I just drove it home
The code is it pretty common, but it always gets worse if you leave it. Bring it to the dealer or someone who has a Tactrix cable (tutorials online).
A rebuild from Jack's costs $4k+, and another used SST costs $3k+, and both take a long time haha. Trust me, bring it in.
I
ignored that code and it went away. Later, it would sometimes skip gears. Fast forward a year, the transmission is completely wrecked.

Plus shipping and stuff. The Jack's package is more a "preventative measure" than a repair.
You can pick up a Tactrix cable for $200 and use that for a recalibration, but you're tiptoeing around the fire... Unless $3k is pocket change for you.
No transmission shop or garage around town will go near the SST, so if you want to keep your car working, I'd take the 40 minute drive or get it towed. In my city, the dealer actually will pull the SST out and help you send it to Jack's.

AFAIK $2400 covers everything. When I phoned them about my synchros, the gentleman there said he'd be willing to put in a spare gear at no extra cost. I wouldn't rule out the chance of extra costs though.
It might also be worth putting in new clutches, but that's up to you. My clutches would slip too easily.

I'm talking about Jack's. There are some other places that do them, if you just google "Evo x SST repair".
Seriously though, do the calibration. There's a small but decent chance that it fixes the whole problem.

ya i tries that but jack is the cheapest one can i find, but when I fix it with jack it is supposed to be come with new clutch? That car I bought it for 5k with 107k miles anyway, I rather fix the transmission for long term hehe
