Make sure when reinstalling the boost pill that the bigger, open end faces upwards towards the outlet pipe, the smaller end facing downwards. Had a scare yesterday with this and reinstalled it backwards, overboosted and threw a bunch of codes. Reinstalled it correctly after that, car's running fine now.

What do you mean above by outlet pipe? nipple ? the small end of pill should be closest to T connector?or? Please verify....

Just gotta give it a good yank, or buy some hose pliers. That is the reason why many of us HATE the manifold heat shielding. It is a knuckle-slicing s.o.b.

The outlet pipe for the turbocharger, which feeds the upper intercooler pipe.

I found a slight twisting motion helped too. I made sure the hose clips were slid off the nipple then pulled hard using a slight twist. Only ended up with 1 cut and 1 bruise.
hmmmm that sounds a little more interesting than it actually was.

Thanks for the advice guys going to try the new techniques tomorrow. If worse comes to worse is it just a generic piece of tubing that could easily be replaced?

Guys, I found the AMS boost pill on Ebay, but they have the following note:
" Your car MUST have a tune to use this boost pill
Failure to tune your vehicle after the installation of the boost pill can result in engine failure.
"
What is that suppose to mean? Do I have to re-map the ECU or what?
