Double Din Gps
Im trying to install a gps unit (double din) in my 2009 lancer ralliart. I took it to best buy and they said they dont even have the hardware to do it. Ive done deck installations before but ive never opened a lancer. Any tutorials with pictures or anything? Specific harness ?

The evo x how to forums have a ton of how to's for in dash navi installs. most places you go to are going to recommend the metra dash kit, it fits horribly but it's cheap. Most go with the scosche kit.

Yeah man i personally have a Pioneer Avic f90bt in my 09 ralliart. Also had gotten then Scosche dash kit and i think it looks beautiful. don't pay full price off the web site. just eBay that **** like i did. Here some links cause i know youll find this helpful, Enjoy-
Eye candy and people who did it themselves ( i also went threw bestbuy)

Here is the base dash kit on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Scosche-MI3019B-...%3D6%26ps%3D33
On that page its got useful info ( in case you skipped over it, it says "You will also need a MI04B wiring harness to complete your installation, and if you want to keep the factory aux input you can buy the MIAX to keep that option, we have both of these available in our ebay store and we will give you a shipping discount for buying multiple items."
Also another side note i've learned that you may find useful is that, if you wanna keep your steering wheel controls you'll need another piece for that. ( not sure of the name, but i know if you read threw those top 2 links, the forums ones, that its in there )
checklist: my setup
-Dash unit pioneer avic f90bt
-Dash kit scosche
-Wiring harness scosche's MI04B
-Aux harness ( optional ) scosche miax
-Steering wheel ctrls ( optional ) N/A
Side note: im glad i didnt buy the steering wheel ctrl cause i would hardly use them, bummer i bought Aux wire harness cause i never use them cause my ipod cables goes from the back of my head unit to my glove box ( bestbuy did it maybe talk to them about that ) but it works out nice cause i leave it in there 24/7 unless i go running or update etc...
if you go the ebay route they have a dash kit + wire harness combo some where. ( which is all you really need besides the unit)
Hopefully this helped feed your brain tons of info! hah take care man, lemme know what you do
