My Stereo Install

Hey guys, I just want to show off my double din install that I did a while back in my 2009 GTS.

The equipment I used is
Pioneer AVH-X5700BHS 7 inch double din
American International MITK894 dash kit
Axxess MITO-02 harness
Metra ASWC-1 steering wheel control module
SiriusXM SXV200V1C

I plan on also adding the Pioneer GPS module in the next few months. I am also using the stock Rockford Fosgate system.

I ran the XM antenna down the passenger side into the trunk and just mounted it to the bracket of the centre child restraint and I have no signal issues.

Nice job!

Is the Metra ASWC-1 steering wheel control module working well?
I went with PAC-SWI due to reviews...

And I am now adding a back up camera (using a wireless kit) too.

For the XM & the GPS antenna just tuck them into the dash towards the windshield. As long as you have them oriented correctly (top side facing the sky) and not under any metal surfaces, you will get great signal without having to run it into the trunk.

Wireless Kit huh? I'm very interested to see how that works for you. All the ones i have done for customers have been quite terrible.

The steering control works great, I did not have to program it at all since it does that itself. I dont have my bluetooth buttons working with the pioneer which i presume it is because i have yet to disable the factory bluetooth module.

I have not ran my backup camera yet either which i plan to do sometime.

I also need to run my microphone because it is just sitting in the glove box for now.

I also had my xm antenna in the dash and would always drop for me so I moved it to the back and its very simple to lift of the panels. I also had it connected to the stock antenna but that always loses a signal when I am beside a transport so I decided to use the XM antenna.
