Help: Connect LED strip above pedals
Hi!
This is my first post here and I'm since today a new Ralliart owner from Sweden.
I'm wondering if anyone could guide me on how to install a LED strip above the pedals.
I did this on my last car which was a Civic Type-R and I connected the strip to the lamp in the glove box and the light turned on when the car entered night mode.
There is no light in the glove box in the ralliart so I'm wondering if I can connect it to somewhere else? Possibly making it turn on when the car enters night mode as the previous one.
If this doesn't work I guess I can install a switch, but I don't know where to connect it.

Can I patch into any of the dash buttons/knobs-lights that light up at night somehow?
I only want em to light up at night/when fog lights are on. I've read another topic where you go through the fuse box but it looks complicated for me.

I believe that the cig lighter also has a light that turns on when in night mode. You could also tap into the wire that puts the stereo in night mode.
If you want to install a switch with the fuse box, just buy a fuse adapter that has the power wire sticking out. Then just find an active empty fuse and stick it in. That's what I did to add some more cig lighter ports to my car.

Thanks for the replies.
I will check out your suggestions and hopefully i'll make it work.
It's the only interior mod im interested in atm. Well that and a light in the trunk. Don't know why they didn't install one. Popping the trunk at night wasn't very satisfying

The footwell is just for extra cozy ambience. Didn't need it that much in my spaceship civic but it will fit this one great i think.
And about the light in the trunk. The manual says there should be one but I didn't find one in the dark so i'll just go check today.
If you have to pull over in the middle of nowhere and it's dark, a light helps to find stuff faster

there should be a light in the top of the trunk compartment, maybe you just need a new bulb.
also, for the footwell lighting, you can tap into the light that comes on in the center console/cubby area when the car is in "night mode" or the lights are turned on. there should be a couple different lights in the area under the hvac control knobs that come on at night you should be able to see if you are looking for them. check it out

I did it the easy way and bought a cig-adapter and solded the led wires onto it, then put the wires where you can't see em.
The red LED's are always on now but I might install a switch later if I can install it somewhere where it blends seemlessly.
About the trunk light. I just didn't find it that night but it's there alright pointing downwards and it was factory set at OFF so that's why it didn't illuminate
