Blackout Roof
no, you just have to use a little heat to get it to free up from the paint and some good body-prep or junk-off to get rid of the residue and you're good. the only issue you'll have if its on there for a long time is the roof will look darker than the rest of the car since it's been hidden from the sun while the rest has had exposure and will likely fade a bit
Holy crAp 200 installed? I'm in the wrong business! The by vinyl shouldn't run you more than 50. Since it's such an easy relatively flat area you should be able to do it yourself. Get quotes. When I went to get a black-out sun visor strip installed one shop quoted me 175 installed. Another quoted me 65 installed. Finally a third did it for 15. Through conversation as the guy is working i mentioned the first shop that quoted me 175 and he laughed and told me that they buy their vinyl from him and he charges them 5 for the sheet. Point I'm making is, shop around a little before you shell out any money. I'm thinking of doing the "dri carbon" look vinyl regulary seen on eBay for a pretty penny. If I do it I'm going to apply it to the roof the window trims the pillars and cover the interior plastic fake carbon pieces. My cousin deals with vinyl and can get me a good deal.
I just bought some flat black Oracal myself... looking forward to installing it. And $200 installed isn't bad, the vinyl alone was $71 for 5'x6'and I have a account with one of the largest distributors in the US. The again, depends on the vinyl.
