RF AMP installation

Hey,

I have a lancer ES 08 and i bought a RF amp and sub here. Sub connects in easily but does anyone have the schematics for the amp connectors or even better pictures for this process?

I take it youre talking about the factory system? You're better off running an aftermarket system because the cost of adding the OEM setup is ridonkulous.

In order to get it working, the right way, you'll need the factory RF headunit, and a complete body wiring harness for a RF equipped lancer (stupid expensive)

To rig it up, it's a whole lot of wiring spaghetti nightmare and wasted time. Even then it's not going to be the same quality as a factory equipped system, so youre (again) better off going with an aftermarket setup.

My recommendation, keep the sub, buy an aftermarket amp and wire it in with a L.O.C. or an aftermarket headunit.

hi,

my ES has all the wires pre installed. like for the amp and sub. I just wanted to see if there was a special process in removing the seat?

Not really. Remove the plastic covers at the 4 corners of the base and remove the 4 bolts holding it down. Lean the entire seat backward slightly to access and remove the connectors from under the seat. That's it.

Hi,

I herd there may be a problem with the airbags if you don't disconnect the negative.
Is this true?

It's possible, but highly unlikely. I personally never have disconnected the battery to remove the seats, but do so at your own discression.
