How do i change the HVAC from Red to white/blue?

I am going with an aftermarket stereo and i now want the HVAC controls backlight to change from red to white/blue to match to the center dash scheme.

wow. Very intense and not a DITY project

Hopefully newer vehicles will have the blue/white scheme in the same HVAC board - so it becomes just a simple swap...

I did this in a kia with the SMD diodes. It wasn't that difficult.

If you can, please do a How-To on this.

I find it rather irritating that all the HVAC controls and displays are red/orange and the "Premium LED Kit" shines blue in the footwells.

I find it irritating (or at least peculiar) that the HVAC is red, the gauges are white/blue and the little tiny driver's window switch on the door is GREEN! WTF? Why this rainbow of colors?

Also, the radio info is a decent dot-matrix display but the clock on the left is the same seven-segment display as seen on mid-70s Casio watches. Why is that???
