I think I got a quick fix, but I cant until tomrrow. My wife wont let me, something about being married 10yrs today. I don't see what the big deal is. lol

ok, so here's my attempt. the edges are rough, because as i'm sure you can tell, it's done with old t-shirt glued in place around a wire frame i melted into the plastic of the original fog lamp surround. a couple basic shots, click to enlarge:
this one from the frontal angle you would actually be looking at the piece from if you were directly in front of the car, to show how big the opening actually is. there's only about a 1/2-3/4" lip around the outer edges on the top and bottom.
here's a top view to show how the inside edge is just extended out forward almost as far as the fog lamp surround normally goes, so it stays flush under the bumper. i actually cut around the original fog lamp opening by using that indented line that runs around the fog lamp opening as a template for that side. i hope the picture makes more sense than my rambling...
and then an installed pic, although the inside edges, again look a bit rough and plus it was dark outside so i couldnt get a good shot, but it is definitely a step in the direction i'd like to see this head if at all possible. gc, i think you should come by and teach me to fiberglass with your mad skills
