Nice RX7 and good pick up on the EVO. Thanks for posting that pic of the spray. That is what I used. There are several threads that have other pics of people doing this that really motivated me.
Thanks for the comments! It was my first time taking the bumper off any car I have owned and doing something like so I was pretty happy with how everything turned out. I like the look with or without the lip painted, but really love it with it painted. I think it gives it a nice aggressive look. My wife noticed it was different and looked good so that is really saying something haha.
Nice job! Did the same thing on mine. Found an easy way to cure the plasti-dip quickly... my rents have a parabolic heater lamp, and I swiped it for a while and used it to heat the lip and ring. The coating dried in under a 1/2 hr and came out tough as nails.
Been through a constant road sand/salt pounding for the last few months, and the plastidip is holding up better than the paint on my hood (about 15 stone chips already, gotta fix it and 3m tape it, but that's a story for another thread).
Happy with the plasti-dip.
Bad that the paint chips.
I'm typing in rhyme.

Thats great to hear that it has held up so well through all the junk on the road and weather. How do you clean the plasti dip parts? I guess yours has held up well to regular washing then too?
ive recently done my chrome trims and ring, could have done a better job/more coats but it still looks great and i go through a touch free high pressured wash without a problem. i also have a little bit of plastidip peeling on my window trim from when i was aggressively peeling off the painters tape, and the car wash doesnt even phase it

Thats good I usually use the pressure wash wand and do it by hand. I was thinking I could just becareful around those areas. At least that is more people saying theirs is holding up good.
For you guys that did this too I think it would be cool to see pics of everyone elses. We could start another thread for pics of this if anyone else thinks this would be beneficial to others.
