Today i cleaned block from all possible depris, what was left from machining.
Took about hour to get it perfect.
Then i installed oil squirters, Acl bearings, oem polished crank and Arp main bolts. Also checked bearing clearences. All perfect....

Then i had to quit, because i didnt have right bolts to put motor to motor-stand. And also had to do one customer job.
Will continue my engine end of week.

And put motor to good night sleep

We sent some parts to Thermal Coating. So i included my TurboXS downpipe to same shippment. Got it back last week.

Some progress today. Or not...

Roof cushion was ready. Same material than Audi S-line and Bmw M-sport uses. Just need to give it little more heat, so it´s perfect.
Also test fitted it, so i can know will it look good.

I continued to build engine. Measured all ring caps and things like that.

Then i started assembly pistons and rods. Oh my god those CP Pistons circlips are PITA. Those are a lot thicker, than other brands.
Finally after some hour-two, i realized good method to put those in.
But after i put rod and pin in, other side´s circlips was almost impossible
Tried many hours with different methods, and all what i got was painful thumbs and one lost clip. Then i called it a day. Or should i say morning.
It´s morning here in Finland, so whole night was in garage today....
I will go to sleep now, and think tomorrow, will i order new different clips, or try more with what i have now.....

Pilars ready. So deepest black alcantara and red stitching.
As you know, pictures dont make justice for things like this. MUCH cooler and blacker in person

^^ This is how the car interior SHOULD have looked like, I don't know why Mitsu didn't do anything to differentiate the RA from standard lancers..no colourful stitching, no logos, only the fake CF stripe on the dash, that's it

Little bit progress....

Steering wheel, shifter and handbrake got highest quality black leather, what is available. Red stitchings was made "double"-style, so those give more grip Noooo. Just looks and feels better.

Painted plastic interior pieces with Black PlastiDip.
First time to try that stuff. It is good, but not for interior parts. After couple months of driving, those will look horrible. Too soft for nails and rubbing.

...and for THE engine

Cp Pistons´s wire locks was painful. Throwed them to trashcan.
And ordered KrammLox´s SureLox´s. GREAT product! Easy and quik to handle. So, pistons "damages" are NOT from SureLox assembly. All made with Cp Pistons´s locks. Now i know, why Cp Pistons had started distributing KrammLox´s products too....

Measured all possible clearances again, and assembled pistons and rods to block.
Now i need to continue customers cars, and start collecting more money Need a lot more parts.
Just to let all know, deathline for car is April. So let´s see how wallet will handle that Car will running then, no matter of what. Just have to skip some parts and modifications, and do those next winter.
