Aftermarket Radio Thread

I know alot of people would like to see others' set ups, to give each other an idea of what looks the best, OEM "look", best functionality, etc. So lets see what your set up looks like, and maybe provide some information on it, such as:

1. Brand & Model
2. Pros & Cons
3. Functionality(Easy to use/rough)
4. Cool Features
5. Price Range(Everyone wants to know this)

And also provide a picture of your set-up. I will post some of mine in the next few days, as I just got my car back & waiting for the double din dash kit to get here.

Just bought my RA, and this thread is relevant to my interests. But I can see that it didn't really get off the ground. Maybe a bump will help...

Innovatek w72gps

pro- Whole system is PC, so can be corrupted to put any program you want. Change modes and you are back into a simple template ( radio, nab, bluetooth). system sounds great. Can change everything about the sounds, the individual HZ the sound comes out at even.
fully loaded with BT, NAV, Rear view,

con- its a PC, system can be slow at times. There is a glitch in the system when starting it up, but as long as you have a rear view connected it resolves the problem other wise its just a slight pain. ( when starting you have to change programs before being able to listen to music. )RVC solves this.

System could be a little simpler. I hate going into the PC mode. Not something I want to deal with while driving, should be a lock while moving so that it stays on the simple screen.

209$ off of amazon. 299$ off ebay, and suggested retail of 650$
Has wifi so its automatic updates when around wifi, or plug in a internet stick and do it that way

Carbonair,
Did you do the install of the Innovatek yourself? Do you still have steering wheel controls? How does the Bluetooth work?

yes i installed it myself. ran the rya cable for the rear view up to the deck. I used a multi meter to find which radio harness wire turned on when put in reverse. tapped into that instead of running a separate cable front to rear.
Blue tooth works awesome. People have had no complaints while talking to me threw it.
Steeringwheel controls- it CAN work, but haven't figured it out. Short of buying the 125$ after market adapter, I am trying to figure out how to wire up a can bus.
Id give the deck a 7/10.
It uses windows and windows can actually be accessed. This is a bit of a pain when driving as then the buttons on the touch screen get very small. As long as you stay in "simpleton" mode its great

1. Brand & Model: Pioneer AVH-P4400BH

2. Pros & Cons: I love this entire unit. Everything is good about it. The selling points for me were the 4V amp preouts and 8-band equalizer. I also have the PAC adapter that allows me to keep my steering wheel controls. I have had it now for 3 weeks and have found no cons with it.

3. Functionality: This is very easy to use. I have used single din units for all of my cars and finally decided to break down and buy something nice. The touchscreen is spot on which makes it extremely easy to use!

4. Cool Features: DVD plays while driving with the help of a relay.

5. Price Range: $429.00
