The SMC kit has proven so successful that I can not even get them in stock - hard to argue with this kind of success - especially with something that is packeaged in such a clean and easy to install set up at a resaonable price of $499 complete
People with half a brain can see through your fake sales pitches too.

The point of this thread is not to bash the SMC kits, anyone with half a brain realizes that.

Geez Guys- Ease up!
The Flojet pump goes through some serious mods before it gets put on an SMC kit. The stock pump can't handle 100 psi. We totally rework the pump covers and seals to increase their sealing ability. I like to run the kits at 115 psi max, but we test at up to 140 psi. We didn't go with the Shurflo because they are HUGE, HEAVY and much harder to mount, and they draw double the current that the Flojet does. The santoprene diaphraghm and EPDM seals in the Flojet are fine for the alky. Just like modding a car it's amazing what can be done with a little re-engineering or blueprinting.

If you check specs on the Shurflo you'll see that they are not rated for near the pressures they are being run at either...I'd prefer to have an all stainless, compact 150 psi pump, but then the kits would be $1,000 since a pump like that costs $500 IF you can find it.

Thanks for listening- Have a great Christmas!

Please don't try and insult peoples intelligence by twisting stuff around.
Actually - I use a stock bore evo block - bone 100% stock with a crank from a 125 whp gallant 2.4 L - also 100% stock

The head is ported of course and has larger valves but is a 100% stock mitsu casting also

So the pump IS modified. That changes things completely.

The concern was that the pump was being used at higher than recommended pressure WITHOUT modifications. Now these concerns can be laid to rest. See how easy that was?

The people slamming a vendor without knowing the facts or actually talking to the vender first to get them are the retards. You guys realize that by not talking to the company actually selling the pumps to get the full story you might have actually hurt their business? Some people won't read far enough to see what's really going on and then end up not buying from SMC because of false information you spread.

This is how people make a living, try to remember that and get the whole story before bashing someone.

Note I have no affiliation with SMC or any water/alky injection company. Hell I don't even have a water/alky setup in my car right now. I just hate to see peoples products get bashed based off of incorect information.

DUDE! NO ONE BASHED ANYONE!

There was a concern brought up about a specific pump and it's capabilities. THAT"S ALL.

It was stated that the pump MAY have problems if left UNMODIFIED. It has been determined that the pump IS MODIFIED so there is NO ISSUE anymore.

F'ing let it go already!

Mods-please lock this topic since the conclusion has been reached.

Merry Christmas everyone.

The original poster should edit the first post of this thread to reflect the updated info from SMC. I just read this for the first time from top to bottom. I was all worried for over 60 posts before finally getting to SMC's post. What a waste of time and anxiety.
