~~~ Project Dark Horse - 08 Dual Exhaust
yup i got rrm intakes installed.
im not sure if you really need this test to get an answer because i already have one of my own. i've driven highway on rush hour everyday and i've noticed very little/no gain with the RRM intake installed. maybe that's a different story if i drive on regular 110~120km speed, but definitely there's little/no difference on fuel consumption with RRM intake
I have an issue with a suplier who has backed out on part of a shipping deal.
Plan be is to get the part delivered to Buffalo and then drive across and pick it up.
Anyone in Buffalo?
Anyways if not I am going to try to work something out with a Mitsu Dealer in Buff to receive it and then pick it up from them for a charge.
Rear Lip
The dual exhaust looks like it will give the rear a little more aggressive look. For the rear lip you could have a add on lip made from urethane that could be mounted to the existing bumper to keep costs down and just have it done in black to look like the rear end section of many cars today.
Here is the update, The blockade has been lifted, and goods now flow from south to north
The issue with getting our prototype exhaust unites is all clear. But sadly I have had to switch hardware suppliers for the exhaust. Couldnt handle the excuses and uncertainty, and the fact that they were charging me more to ship the goods then it was actualy worth? WTF?
So we are now on MK2 version of the exhaust.
Comments about Parts (A) Catalytic Converter (B) Resonator removal/replacement section will be commented on later
C1. Scratch this variant out, cost overrun and shipping made me want to puke
C2. Your looking at the MK2 which is coming along well, the welders are having fun and the install should be easy as pie. I will do a video of the install and eventual dyno in the coming weeks and post it here. Things such as tone have been thought about constantly so hopefully it will be pleasing to all who are in range
Even the police ?
muahhaha joking, anyways I will update when more info becomes availible.
Borla Tech seems to be easy to work with and the multiple pipe size allows for a dynamic ability to customize exhaust flow with different Turbo Setups.
The Turbo project will be proceeding with a very weak boost to satisfy warranty compliance by the dealer particpating with the install.
This project still on the bench until we find a volenteer.
Anyways guys I am off to go back to sleep been up all night, update you later
Finally the unit arrived after paying friggin an arm and a leg to UPS for Duties and Brokerage fee. Not cool.
Anyways on to the measurements that everyone keeps emailing about.
And on to the line up shots for the rear end.
Now on to the Body / Exhaust shop for some metal works. hopefully by this weekend we can get this bird in the air, lol or on the road,
again I will keep ya posted
