bad coils???

anyways had my car dyno'd.....it was sputtering.....so there was another car at the dyno so we pulled the both coils off and replaced both of mine....sputtering went away.....tuned car great....everything was fine.....gave back coils put old coils back in ...till i ordered a new one from dealer.....purchased 1 coil....didn't wanna dish out the cash for 2...figured it had to be one coil......got the new coil.....replaced one coil...still sputtering.....switched second coil with new coil.....still sputterinig...figured it wasn't the coils and was the coil cable to spark plug...had to be...correct?.....ordered wires from dealer....replaced those today...still sputtering.....crazy....the only thing i haven't replaced was the second coil....could both coils be bad?.....i guess its a possibility...i ordered a second coil...will replace tommorrow when it comes in.....the car ran fine with someone elses coils in it.....this is crazy....2 coils?.....i read a post about some AEM problems with coils....any suggestions....the dealer said they've never even sold a coil before for an EVO.....very strange....ideas?...hopefully when i replace remaining stock coil everything will be fine

I had the same issue and put in some colder plugs gapped at .22 and no more sputtering as well.

BPR8ES gapped at .23 for 29 psi. I the gap is any bigger my spark breaks up at top end. I am in the process of upgrading my ignition.

The BPR7ES gapped at 24 works for me at 29psi just fine, but I don't plan on boosting anymore. (famous last words)
