Problems on Spool up

My car is seeming to have issues on on spool up. If ease into the gas from low to high rpm the car doesnt have issues, but if I floor it the car seems to pop, and it almost feels like fuel cut, and then grabs and goes.

any help would be great.

Mine does the same thing but if I change my plugs it goes away for awhile. Lately I have been changing the plugs every 500-700 miles because of this problem.

I thought my problem had to do with the methanol injection.

Anyone else?

I have this problem, running 20psi spiking to 21 (ive managed to get it to hold to 17.5 till redline, stcok VIII turbo

If i am lugging the motor down this does this almost predictably......I'll have it at 3500 revs in 4th and if i got WOT up a hill, it winds up with a large thud...almost like the motor popped or,

more like the blow off valve or a positive pressure charge pipe letting loose...

do you have any logs of the AFR while this happens.

sounds like its either going pig rich or very lean.

either way, sounds like a bad tune possibly.

please dont take it the wrong way but log it and find out what the problem is. You have a very good tool and chances are it is a problem with the tune. Like said above rich or lean during accel throttle changes at certian load and rpm. I have seen several tunes that have this issue becuase they are usually just tuned on the dyno and that is it.

I used to have that same problem when I did some major upgrades on the TurboXS utech. We had major problems with my A/F Everything would be going smooth, then a little after 5000 rpm, my engine would pop and my nice hp and A/F would go to crap.

So I got fed up with the utech, pulled it out and spend money for the better AEM. Now I have the AEM with no problems, great A/F.

But.....since then I just installed the Perrin larger intercooler and the Helix piping system. Now occcasionally on high boost I may get a slight flutter at high rpms, barely noticeable, but going back to my great ol tuner again! No fear here, AEM is here. I love the system. Long bull sh*t story short.

+2, see your tuner.
