New to aem ems

I am coming from a MafTpro, and I wanted to know.. when switching between pump gas and pump/meth and race fuel maps, do I have to upload the new map or is there a way I can have 2 to 3 maps loaded and switch between them?

You can use the Nitrous switch option to go from pump to pump/meth without reloading a new map. It's cake. You can only siwtch between two though.

^ what he said.

read the manual, it's all there with the wiring diagram.

I bet there is a way to go between several maps with that 1 switch, if there is an additional micro-switch or something.

Sorta like the 3 way bulbs.

you can make a new fuel and ign map that can be activated with a switch.. but you cant change your boost levels

it takes less time to upload a new map than it does to pump gas..

that makes no sense. unless you have your computer running all the time or have car pc installed on your car.

my computer will take more time to boot up and the aem pro open than pumping a full tank of gas.

Nitrous switch in AEM is ****. Even AEM says not to use it. Atleast they did when I got my AEM

I would use the nitrous switch as a valet map option only. If you have the laptop just upload the new map. Its not like you dont have to stop to put race gas in anyways.

If you want to hold more than one map get the HKS EMS. But then you lose the ability to tune it yourself.

You can change boost levels also. As long as you have the AEM controlling boost, you can set a new target boost pressure for when you hit the switch to change maps (In this case).

Do a search you will find some good info use the nitrous map along with meth or race fuel. It is a smooth transition and works well even changing boost levels. Several of us have been using it for a long time.
