So my car is pretuned for E85 going thru a few tanks and last week i was showing my friend how to switch between maps and forgot to switch back to the 91 map and i floored it twice and when i heard the pop i checked the map and realized i was on the wrong map the E85 map with 91 in the tank. What possible damages can this cause or i should be looking for or if any damage? There's no CEL. Thanks.

 

Well you where probably running super rich. There is likely no damage, but you could have maybe fouled your spark plugs. If everything else seems normal now that you have it on the right map i wouldn't sweat it.

I'm surprised you didn't notice it in how the car ran. I can imagine it would be dumping fuel when you go WOT.

 

It was pig rich, so not a huge deal. Just don't do it again.

 

I use to do it all the time then got tired of it and bought a haltech and now i'm flex fuel lol. Unless your beating on the car with either map and the opposite gas your fine. Worse case you blow it up.
