No, as long as the tune is good and the IAT and MAP sensor are calibrated correctly, it will be fine in different temps. My tuner told me that the EMS takes into account the conditions and makes adjustments. I would however confirm this with someone like buschur. I have driven my car in 100+ degree weather and 30 degree weather and seen no side effects.

My car runs NEAR flawless. You would never know i had an AEM unless i told you. It has cost me about $1500 in tuning. From Buschur to Brett to Steve Coles, each tuner had somthing to offer the others didnt. Then I was taught cold start. As your tuner wont be spending the night and tuning on a cold morning for a week. I now have an evo that fires up and runs great in the cold. Its not for everyone. If you dont have the cash to see it through to the end, you will be highly dissapointed. If you do have the cash, you will OWN!!!! And if you cant afford the 1313u, dont bother. No one , of quality, will tune you without a wideband.................Ray

I am sure AEM EMS owners will grill em for this, but...
If you are not capable of tunning it yourself, live near a capable tunner (and have A LOT of money for that), must pass inspection where ODB-II is required, then I would not suggest you getting one.
Drivability is only as good as your tunner.

And another thing to consider is how much your car is going to gain in power over the stock ECU(or with a good flash). If you are still running stock turbo and not pushing much aftermarker parts, is it really worth your cash to switch? Or it's just cooler to say, hey I got an aftermarket ECU?

I'm curious what everyone does when it comes time for inspection. Does everyone go back to stock?

Yes Sir. You answered your own question.
Well, maybe AEM should look to make a "fake" ODB-II simulator

Better than stock couputer if its tuned right. Thats hard to do though, finding a good tuner. Plus everytime you change somehting it can screw it all up again.

love mine. startup takes a few revolutions more to fire but once the water temp is up to operating condition it never stalls. your car should be warmed up in the first place!!!! PA requires emission OBD-II so in go's the stocker for the day and on go's my emission sticker, if i go over 5k miles for the year anything under is exempt and i dont have to worry about it

you're not alone there either. mine stalls once in a while and can't figure out wtf is wrong. the tuners don't see anything that could be causing it. it'll go for days without any problems and then one day it will die 3-5 times.

About the only problem I have is the car stalling out on me sometimes. I've been in some hairy conditions when this has happened.

I can duplicate this problem any time. Dave has tried many times to figure out what it is to no avail. I just keep my family out of the car as much as possible. If I have to drive the family somewhere I just make sure the RPM's are high enough when I depress the clutch that the rpms will stay at 1000 when it comes down.
