well apparently my last tuner disabled my A/C for no good reason, but when my new tuner tried to get it working again he couldn't get it to work. i was thinking two things....

a.) the compressor is broken (yes there is refrigerent in it)

b.) The new tuner couldn't remember the A/C code for the evo. there's a ton of codes but does anyone know which A/C code is the right one for the evo??? i'll try to be more specific when i get time to sit in my car and find the description.

well i tried the above (thanks ray) and the only thing that i had different was the "shut off if TPS sensor is above..." i had 80, but filled in 89. still doesnt work

when i turn on the A/C, the car definately bogs down as if the A/C were working, but no cold air will come out.

i guess the compressor is just not functioning properly??

 

take a flashlight and look at the compressor clutch. Have someone turn it on and off, you should see the clutch engauge and dis-engauge. If you do, engauge it and let it run for a few minutes Find the "low side" comming out of the firewall and touch it. If its cold, then i would guess your thermostat knob may be broke and stuck on hot. If its not cold, get a set of gauges and read the pressures. If the compressor dont turn on, then thats a whole nuther can of worms....
