Map sensor -- Either AEM or GM (3.5 or 5 bar)
Air Temp Sensor -- GM
GM boost solenoid if you want the EMS to control boost...

Well first off, if you have an Evo IX like your info says, you want a 30-1320 and NOT a 30-1313 (IX = MIVEC = 1313 won't cut it)

Aside from that, I'd recommend you buy a $150 boomslang (or similar) ECU extension harness so you don't have to hack up your factory harness.

RRE makes a nice $25 adaptor to mount the GM MAP sensor on the manifold.

I'd recommend an EGT sensor as well.

Why would you want this harness, the AEM is plug and play!

1a:aem map sensor
1b:map sensor adapter from rre

get the one off of the non evo 4g63 web page, as its considerably less....not sure why.

you want to get the map sensor as close as possible to the boost source. if you use a gm map sensor, you'll have to run a little bit of rubber line.

the transport delay is very small, however when the boost is rocketing up from nothing to 20 psi, the quicker the ecu see the boost, your ign map & fuel map will be there to help you.

in other words, if it takes ~0.1 sec more for the boost signal to see lets say 15psi while you have 20 psi, you can induce knock & a lean spot.....trust me, i can dig up a boost response signal overlay conducting this very same science project on my car.

a distant 3rd, ait sensor.

It is if you want to use all of the stock sensors and continue to run a MAF.

BUT if you want to run speed density, EGT, or AEM boost control you HAVE to modify the stock wiring. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather cut a $150 cable than hack up my factory harness. Plus a few inches of length can help when you need to mount the ecu since the factory brackets don't work.
