question about ems boost control
question about ems boost control
I trying to setup the boost wg base map and have a couple questions. The car have a 3 port gm solenoid. Can values of 0 or 100 be used? I read that solenoids are only recommended to operate within a certain range. i understand that the higher the duty cycle value the lower the boost pressure. is this correct?. If so the value should be greater for higher engine load values? At very high load values where i dont expect the engine to reach such as 308 kpa do i just put 100 or 85 to limit the boost to the minimum or do i put 0. I think the map is currently setup backwards. boost duty value going down as load increases and 0 across the row for 308 kpa and 0 for all load thats not in the boost range( 10.99 kpa and under)
sorry for the long post. i just need some pointers to fix the overboosting until i can take it to a tuner.

Set the table to one value until you reach your desired boost level. It depends on how you ran the lines from the wastegate to solenoid. Are you still using a internal wastegate or external wastegate?
