dont get AEM EMS if that's what you are refering to. I hate american ecu on a japanese car, get HKS F CON V PRO, you still get to keep your engine immobilizer security feature, it utilized OBDII, which means you can still go thru state inspection (don't guarantee to pass, depend on mods) also, the car start like stock ecu, have you ever hear car w/ aem ems? it takes few cranks before you can start the engine.

Anyone who is a professional tuner on the EMS please chime in at anytime

This is a car I tuned while at Torquefreaks.... Stock block Evo 9 with ETS GT35r kit .. I think the AEM EMS has it advantages at higher power levels ... BTW I ran a Subaru Knock sensor on this car for a cleaner signal....

thats exactly what i want. a solid 500 wheel hp. if it can be achieved through a reflash then i would be fine with that. Planning on installing S2s as well as head studs and valve train

AEM EMS is only as powerful as the knowlegde behind the tuner/user about the tool. The cranking can be fined tuned if you know how. As for emission, simply save your stock ecu, maf, and injectors to swap out for emission time. Not that difficult.

I've tuned AEM Evo and DSM's including mine. For example, a 1g GSX on Super20g and chipped could not break into the 12's. Once he swapped and went AEM utilizing the Automapping feature of the wb o2, car ran consistent low 12's.

PM me if you have any questions about AEM.
