ems starting problem**please read**

okay after i thought my fuel pump wiring/relays were bad i have narrowed it to the ems......what i did to come to this conclusion was to put the stock ecu in and see if the car would start...so i did and it started and i let it run for a min..after i let it run i put the ems back in..the fuel pump still didnt prime but it started so while i was doing the base map i started to hear the charcoal canister (behind the rearbump on driverside) cliking like crazy....and even after i shut the car off it would still click then shut off when it wanted.....well anway i went on with making a base map and after i was finished my car sat for a few hours..then i tried to start it and it wont fire(still no priming)....i dont know if the ems is bad or a setting or what but its like i have to warm the car up on stock ecu the put the ems in....and the pump still doesnt prime...when it used to primed all the time on the ems.....any body have any idea why the car wont start and why the charcoal canister is clicking???? i already tried uploading the 1.19 program agian and didnt make a diff. PLEASE HELP

Have you checked the Configure outputs menu ?

I have an EVO VIII and my fuel pump is configured on LS11

I sometimes use the AEMtuner beta when I am checking for output collision because there is an auto detect of output collision and the configure output menu is easier to look at and figure out ... or so I think

its almost like when the car is cold with the aem in the car it doesnt send signal back to the pump witch in return wont start...but when i put the stock ecu in the car fires right up...if i let the car warm up on stock ecu then put the aem ems back in then it will fire up..so its like when the car is warm with the aem in it will send signal to the pump to start..another thing is the pump still doesnt prime durring all of this like it used to..anybody have any ideas???? please help

send it in man... they will warranty it. I had this problem 3 times... never knew what caused it but they had to reload a new prompt.

his maps were really jacked up. he sent me one and i took a quick look, none of the options were set correctly. the reason his fuel pump didnt run was because the ls6 options were all backwards. it would have taken me days to fix that map he sent to me.
