Is this true in every state? You can't pass inspection with the AEM EMS at all?

 

unless your state has no emissions, it will not pass because nothing will show up when you plug in the car. the stock ECU you can do anything nowadays.. i know im never going to a standalone now, can virtually do anything you want through the stock ECU now.

 

Well... I was not aware of that. I guess it would be better to have the OEM EMS. Any idea what they cost from Mitsu?

 

no idea, you can probably pick up an ECU on this forum for a relatively decent price!

 

Ah, I completely forgot my state does not have emissions. That was a dumb moment on my part.
