hi all
i've installed a 1313 box today but a very strange thing happens...

everything in order and wired (map,ait) and the car doesn't fire at all....
after 2 hours of searching we've found that the only way to make the car start and work as it should, is to change the coil packs sequence in the engine head...
i mean we plug the left connector to the 1-4 and the right to the 2-3.... and the car fires up instantly!

what is the problem here???
should i swap the coil wires in the ecu harness? how the car is working with the evo8 stock ecu as it should and with the aem unit is not?

You can't just throw an EVO 8 AEM on an EVO 6 and expect it to work the same. I'm not familiar with the evo 6 but I know its different enough to not just be PnP. If it was an EVO 7 you'd be ok probably.

Things are probably wired differently on the harness, that's probably your issue.

 

no man its not the harness, pinouts of 6-7-8 as almost identical and that's why we can run evo7/8 ecus with 90550001 on 6's

the problem found and its in the cam sensor compatibility with the 1313 box.
