I want to get a netbook to tune a AEM. Ive heard not to get one with Windows Starter. Anyone has any experience with which netbook would work?

 

I have an Acer Aspire 1 that I bought just for this purpose and have used many times tuning AEM Series 1 ECU's using AEMPro and it works great. I maxed the memory out and have Windows 7 Premium on it. I've tweaked it as to not need much resources like a factory installation would use.

I would NOT attempt to tune an AEM Series 2 ECU however because AEMTuner requires a lot more resources to run properly. In fact I have a user that tried to log his car with a netbook and the netbook couldnt keep up with the logging information.

I use a Asus eee netbook on Window 7 with no issues.

im using an HP mini netbook and its running on windows xp. no problems w/ both aempro and aemtuner.
