im having an issue on my evo 8 series 1 where the map seems to be changing itself after the car sits a while. my original map was too lean at startup so i richened it up. after sitting it surges and runs lean, i reflash the new map and problem solved. am i doing something wrong here?

ecu>send new calibration>choose map>upload

 

did you compare the map that was causing the car to run lean to the good map? It sounds like something else is wrong. I have never heard of a map reverting to a different map. I am pretty sure that is not even possible.

Update your firmware and see if that helps... its in one of the drop down menus

 

call aem help desk, they are very helpful.

it will take you less time then posting on here & waiting for a reply.

for me, i dont know how the ecu can change maps, as it only has the ability to hold 1 map.... or at least that is my understanding.
