Lancer Evo IV clutch question
Lancer Evo IV clutch question
Researching replacing a clutch on a 96 Evo IV and just want to stick with a good aftermarket single disc clutch kit. I've heard great things about the ACT HDSS kits on Evo 8/9s. I've also heard that you can use a clutch kit made for Evo 8/9 on the 4, just wanted to know if anyone could confirm. Having a hard time finding a good, affordable kit. Thanks
May be too late but yes you can use the 8/9 clutch kit.
However, you will also need to use the 8/9 flywheel as well because the 4,5,6 flywheel is smaller.
I recently got the HDSS for USDM Evo 8/9 and also got the streetlite flywheel to save me the hassle of finding a used or new OEM 8/9 flywheel.

Bump.
Figured it would be smarter than starting a new thread and being yelled at.
Anyway, does simply bolting up an Evo 8/9 flywheel work? Does the starter not need to be changed, along with a few other bits? And after that, an Evo 8/9 clutch will work no problem?
Very hard sourcing parts for JDM cars.
