Japanese INSPECTION

I am planning on moving to Japan in the next year or so and was wondering how people pass inspection with a Modified evo or is there a way to get around it or some parts on the car that you are allowed to modify. Any info on this would be great.

Thanks

D,

If I remember right from when I lived there. If the car is bought at a delear and you mod it. You will need to go to a city hall like place and get a temp plate (the one that has the red line through it). Then you will take it to get the JCI inspection (japanese compulsory insurance). You will get a "KAI" title which is a modified vehicle title.
Now if you are going over as a government worker try googleing JCI insurance. Oh its expensive too..

Thanks for the reply that makes me feel better about bringing my evo over.

The other option would be to have 2 engine setups and just swap them out
lol
