EVo 7.5 GTA help!!

Hi guys,

I am just about to put a deposit down to purchase an EVO VII GTA,
low klms in transit from Japan as we speak.

Need an auto for the missus, who may need to drive occasionally.

Is the GTA a waste of time, i.e. does auto kill the evo experience?

How mush performance is lost on the auto, 5%? 10%? more?

How is reliability? I have been told the Mitsubishi auto has a few problems?

Any thoughts on this car? Anyone own one?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Andrew

The EVO VII GTA was sold in 2001 and 2002, primarily for the Japanese market. It is only a new release in Australia under the grey imports system. I was hoping some of you guys in the US may have experienced them already??

we don't have the GTA, all evo's since 2003 were all manual. you can try MLR.com or lancerregister.com

Def try MLR. there are a few of them around but they aren't very popular. as stated we never got them in the USA.
They are very different from the standard Evo. Its pretty weird to see an Evo w/o the hood vent! Do you know of all the differences? There are quite a few!

Thanks guys. I shall try the forums you suggest. Sorry i did not realise pre 2003 was not in the US.
I understand the differences are a softer ride, slightly less power, wider seats, more luxurious interior, auto of course, no bonnet vents.
Excellent site and thank you anyway.
