Mate not that hard, rexhunta has outlined the process for the CC dials. It is very simmilar for the CE. There is a tacho output under the bonnet against the firewall, if you are looking at the engine front the front of the car, it is on the left hand side on the firewall. It is not too hard to find. Hope that helps.

On the back of the tacho I have there is different lables. Im guessing the 'tacho earth' goes to negitive of battery. The only other one that I can see is one called 'pulse' for the output on the fire wall. Would this be correct? Thanks for your help

nah its not on the firewall, you have to get it from the coil itself, i think it does go to pulse.. have you gotta workshop manual ?

Actually it is Rexhunta it is on the right hand side on the firewall behind the air box/AFM area. It is a little plug which is the positive and well the negative just has to be ground. I though this would be a lot easier than actually hard wiring into the coil its self. As we say there is always a few ways to tackle a situation.

I was just thinking it might only be on CE models which Dressedinred was after info on. Actually if you could have a look for me Rexhunta under the CC hood I would appreciate it. Then it will be time to attack my brother in laws car (he has a CC and wants to do the same conversion).

Wire for the revs

On the mivec wiring loom there's a plug that i came off for my shift light (since when i did the conversion the tacho worked without using the mivec dash loom so i didn't need to wire it up) the plug is right against the firewall near the brake boster.
