RPW Twin Throttle Body Systems for Mirage/lancer Vehicles
RPW has just finished the first batch of twin throttle bodies of the lancer mirage vehicles. These units are the fitment of a throttle body to each side of the intake manifold.
For the 1.5 models we have finished the twin 46mm and 51mm units that can run either a linear or progressive throttle linkage system.
For the 1.5 models this is a great option due to there MAP setup and could run a very nice twin nozzle NOS System.
Vehicle would require Greddy E-manage to reprogram car and total time including installation of manifold would be around 3 hours.
Photos of this will be coming soon.
For the 1.8 / 2.0 models we have made the same system as above with the twin 50mm throttle bodies (Upgradeable to twin 55mm) but unlike the 1.5, this would require a Haltech or equive to run the system due to the MAF sensors on the car.
Both vehicles run the stock TPS and idle speed control motors in standard positions for easy fitment.
First 1.5 unit is going to the states for fitment but we can reproduce these any time.
For pricing you need to contact RPW but it is approx $900 - $1100.00 for a complete twin system for either model vehicle - this is on an exchange basis Ie we need your intake manifold back.
This includes the modified intake manifold, linkage kit, 2nd throttle body and 2nd manifold (We have to cut a 2nd manifold up to make up one twin manifold), twin K&N air cleaners with flexible tubing to relocate to front bumper or optional two small air cleaners to go on each throttle body instead, and the manifold is powder coated to your choice of colours.
Pricing may vary according to what size throttle bodies you use but the main thing about these systems are they are complete bolt on with no other modifications Ie throttle linkage etc.
I must admit we are quite excited about these as they are the first of a new range of performance products we are making for more streetable modified cars with the use of the greddy e-manage for those who want that something different.
Now that we have finished these systems we will next be moving on to the development of a parallel twin TB system for MAF sensitive cars.
