Question Evo 3 - I know its oldschool!

Hi everyone.

Does anyone know where to get an owners manual for the Evo 3? It was imported with out one and would be nice to have. That is if translated the older manuals to English. Also - anyone know of any good sites with info on the Evo 3? Hard to find the older stuff. Maybe should upgrade to Evo VIII!

Thanks for that. Those sites are great. Even has info on the differences between the early Evo's and some specs.

Evo III manuals

Evo3man

Hi, I moved to the UK about a year ago, cause I couldnt afford an Evo in Oz! (one of the reasons anyway), let me know if and where you can get a III manual from as I want one as well. The MLR is a great site, can get links to other sites to get newer manuals but cant find the early ones.

What you done to yours?
Mines a GSR - only got HKS zaust, filter, s/brace. Suspension is harder than normal but havent found out whats going on there yet.
Hows the EVO scene in Oz?

Good Luck Mate

The Evo 3

Hey Skip.

That looks sweet. Check out my Evo 3. Similar to yours. My is reasonable stock. As far as engine goes just thicker intercooler, and sports air filter. Also tein adjustable suspension and strut brace. Prof exhaust from cat back, and HKS boost control. Have only had it for a few weeks! I love it and it turns heads everywhere - obviously! Can't wait to start to do some work to it - outside of car will not be touched because doing so would be a crime! Computer is first on the list - then maybe fuel pump and perhaps turbo. Still early days! Hope to find a manual somewhere. Have you got much documentation on the car at all? Anything from the net or ? You got plans for yours? Evo scene here is small but strong!

Looks very very nice example, love the wheels..(17"s?). They have to be white on a white evo! I plan to just do de-cat, downpipe, re-circ BOV, and re-map to start with. Trouble is plenty of later model help over here but earlier ones are quite rare. If all else fails I will look at the gizmo chips. Also want to tidy up the front due to stone chips etc, bigger wheels. I did cam belt & balancer belt and bearing last week as history was not known, cause I cant read Japanese, I got all service history and two manuals but all totally in japanese. Car has done 53K miles and is like new inside. Has only been in the UK since last November and when it was bought in Japan had snow tyres and wheels on it. (That would be fun evo in the snow!). I also got complete dash and new set of brake pads with it. Paid 5250 GBP - absolute bargin. It flies and sounds great and is real tight. Good luck with it, if I can find english versions I'll drop you a line, let me know if I can help with anything being over here and all.

That is cheap for such a great car. Wheels are only 16's but look bigger cause the car is lower. They are light weight which helps a lot. Will continue to look for manual and will let you know if I have any luck.
