EVO VIII RS in Perth Pics
G'day guys,
A mate of mine just got in his 2 new EVO VIII RS Lancers the other day. These cars still have the plastic on the seats. They will be completely gutted in the upcoming weeks to make way for full rally spec. SO I went down this arvo and took a few happy snaps.
For those who don't know, the RS is the stripped version of the VIII GSR. The interior, seats, steering wheel, drive side, brakes and heaps of other stuff are different. The RS can only be 'B' registered and most of the interior will be thrown away.
The car next to the 8s is my mate's VII which is also an RS but fully worked. Putting out around 550hp. The picture of the Brembo are of the VII.

The seats and steering wheel are not GSR spec. The Dash moulding is hard plastic as well. I think the blue inset is the same as our GSR spec. We get the nice Recaro seats and round steering wheel.
All the stuff in the RS is ready to just pop out. The seats are like the Mirage seats, the mouldings almost pop off to the touch. So sitting in the car was not a true representation. Although the instrument cluster is the same as well as the ACD. Also there was the IC water spray switch - manual and Auto settings.

When you say thrown away... what do you mean? What are you throwing away and do you actually mean going to the tip?

nice rims... do the RS's here in the states come with those wheels??
What is this of? the VIII or your mates VII? I had to find something to complain about... so its really dirty.

Are seats very interchangable between cars? I mean would they fit into a 95 Lancer Coupe or not? Cus my seats are pretty ripped up...
