Can anyone shed any light (no pun intended) on what the inside (3rd) globe does in the cluster of our Evo8 headlights?

I have read the manual cover to cover and the only thing I can find is that it is only for show. Could it be a JDM fog-light?

usdm- it is a foglight...bright as hell too

 

I'd assume fogs in AUS would be uselful... Watch out for that Wallaroo!

Does the middle light do nothing on your car? Where your ACD button is is where our foglight button is... I guess you guys got the long straw!

 

I've been wondering the same thing - where is the switch for the front foggies?

 

When i was first looking at the car i asumed it came with foggies, one of the first things i checked out. Then the thrid light didnt come on? hummmmm. Is there even a globe in there. Im going to check now.

 

can we sitck HID globes in the housing, are they plug and play?

Whats the deal with HID?

 

Ok had a proper look. Doesn't look like we get fog lights. Ive just been looking at the usdm lights and they have a globe going into the hole. That sucks!

 

I wouldn't bee too upset mates, I'd trade my fog lights for an ACD any day of the week, lol!

Thanks guys. Strange that we don't get them. They are great for the Roos down south.

The centre light in our cluster is te High Beam.

Yeah, true, I think getting the ACD is the better of the two

 

I think the Japanese spec Evolution VIII has HIDs, foglights, and ACD so where do they fit the buttons?

fog lights on right hand side mear foldin mirror button which also does the rear fog lamps too

 

Ryan, we don't get the fold in mirrors on Oz spec cars. There is a button for the single rear foggy, down near the headlight adjustment toggle.

on my GT-a we get electric mirrors.....all 3 lights working with the third being fog lights with switch near the headlight height adjustable toggle...main lights are HID's and ACD ofcourse.

 

Usdm the acd and mirrors are up top and the fog light and headlight height adjustment are below the column by the door.
