ER Challenge Cup #1

Is anyone doing this? I've never done an ER event, but this would be a new venue, Resistol Arena, for me and sounds exciting. It's THIS SUNDAY.

4 timed runs for $25 ($20 if member) plus $10 for a couple more. Details:

Resistol Arena
1818 Rodeo Dr.
Mesquite, TX

Map to Site

All times are Approximate
Registration & Tech 8:00AM-9:00AM
MANDATORY
Drivers Meeting 9:30AM
First Runs Start 10:00AM
Trophies at conclusion of runs 4:30 PM
Registration Information
At registration this year, our insurance requires us to check for a current valid drivers licenses. If you don't have it current you don't get to run in the event.

Courses lap times on this site average between 40 and 60 seconds. ER uses all the SCCA National approved classes and the supplemental classes also.

Quite working mufflers are required. Sound level strictly enforced. 100db at 50 feet.

Entry fee is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Most events you will get 4 timed runs with the option to enter in the Rapide PAX event for $10 which gives you two more runs.

If you have done the Pre-pay option go to the right side of the trailer to get your card pulled and then go to the worker chief to get checked in and sign the waiver. The worker chief will be at the trailer.

I'm thinking about it. Trying to get my car ready. Darn rear fenders a a BEEACH trying to fit 11" wide wheels and tires. Good gawd.

Haha, I bet. But if you thought you had grip before...

I wish I could have bought your old r-comps, but then, I really need to work my way up there. I've got a good set of street tires now, so this should be a fun season regardless.

I'm still undecided about this event, but just might do it.

4 runs plus 2 runs ($10 more) for the cash. Top PAX placers actually get paid!

Can't make this one, but let me know how it goes. The back lot looks pretty big. Haven't heard a report on the surface.

Alright, looks like I'm doing this event. I've never run an ER or SCCA event, so I could use a hand with classing. My ONLY mods are: springs, intake (cone filter type) and 245-width tires on OEM 8-inch wheels. I have the MR Bilstein struts, but they are essentially an OEM replacement.

Judging by the PDF on ER's website, I'm in STX (8 inch wide wheels/245 tires puts me there). However, the registration has several ST's but no STX.

Thanks!

no power mods? You could do STU or novice STU.

If some power mods like boost control then BSP, novice BSP, or tire BSP.

Sinve you've never done SCCA or ER maybe start in STU novice.

Yeah only power mods are intake and exhaust. Factory boost control.

I'll probably put myself in STU. Thanks man!

Look for me or Jon. (P.S. I'm the short bald one) we'll be happy to help you out. I'll either be chilling by my big black trailer or somewhere else lol.

I would recommend starting off in Novice as well. STU is your designated class, FYI.

you can register online here...

https://axwaresystems.com/axorm/cale...curyearindex=6

Here's the trick. You need to register your car twice. Once as your "normal" car then again as the "rapide pax" car. When registering you first register the "normal" car which is $25 then register your "rapide pax" car which is $10 for a total of $35.

If you don't do it that way you won't get the extra PAX runs.
