AMS downpipe/high-flow cat

Looking to purchase your downpipe and high-flow cat...just wondering if your high-flow cat will bolt up to other aftermarket cat-backs? Or is it designed to be used only with the AMS cat-back?

I currently have an RSR cat-back and would like to run your downpipe and a HFC.

Thanks,
Chris

The AMS exhaust system has a 3-bolt flange, where as most aftermarket exhaust systems are 2-bolt. I say go with the AMS TB exhaust as it's a really nice system. My buddy has it on his EVO and it sounds really nice and deep, not like an old man farting. Really nice quality too!

Thanks for the info.

I'm currently using the RSR GTII catback and I'm growing tired of it, as are my passengers. It's too loud and has a terrible drone to it, especially when decelerating.

I've been thinking about replacing it with something MUCH quieter...I'm not sure if the AMS catback will fit the bill, though.

That's why I was wondering if their cat bolted up to other aftermarket exhausts.

Perhaps they can offer a cat with a 2-bolt flange?

No problem. They could definitely weld up a 2-bolt flange, I'm not sure of the cost. The AMS exhaust isn't too loud, definitely has a nice sound. I see your in IL, my buddy has the full AMS TB exhaust with their high-flw cat. Maybe you could meet up with him and you can hear it for yourself.

if you bring the car to us we can mate it up to anything. I just need the car here to do it.

We use 3" 3bolt flanges because they are thicker (less warping) and have nicer sealing properties with 3 points of pressure.

Thanks, Eric.

I'll be stopping in soon for downpipe and high-flow cat to mate up to whatever exhaust I end up with. I want to get this stuff done soon...certainly before my Sept. 13th appt to have you guys street tune my AFCII
