AMS: Help on Evo 9

I have tried contacting you guys about the Evoluition 9. I will be purchasing one in may, and plan on dropping plenty of money into the car. I have done my research and for the evo 8s, you guys are the leaders on dsmtimes.org. I would like to be informed of updates on products you guys are coming out with and things like that. Also when the AEM EMS comes out for the 9. I plan on voiding the warranty the next day on the car, so i am not fooling around. As you can tell i put alot of effort into my eclipse i have now. So i would like your help and greatly appreciate the information you can provide for me. I would like some people to work with me on ideas for the car and also preparing the setup to go with. Also i would like to speak to you guys about the best transmission to go with for the car, 5speed or 6speed.

Thanks

i wasnt going to say anything, but your a little too nasty when someone said something innocent.... so its my turn..

I would like to be informed of updates on products you guys are coming out with and things like that. should martin call you personally when something new comes out.. no, you have to wait like the rest of us..

As you can tell i put alot of effort into my eclipse i have now.. how is this, by saying you want to void the warrenty on an evo.. just curious.

best tranny.. well the 5 speed... but if you can drive tranny gears will be fine in either... i say this cause a stock 03 is handling 600 horse no prob..

but this a public forum, anyone can comment.. thats all.. mods fell free to delete me..

No, Martin should not have to call me personally, I am sure they have other people that work there that can provide me with the information i need. But a vendor would probably setup an emailing list to inform customers when products have been released.

Yes I do put alot of time and money into my eclipse. Why can't i void the warranty on the evo b/c i want to make it faster? I am not going to drive the thing for 60,000 miles until the warranty is out, to start putting mods on the car. It means i am not going to hold out on trying to keep the factory warranty?!?! So by me saying i am going to void the warranty means i am don't put alot of effort into the eclipse? That is the craziest thing i have heard.

I am not asking for AMS to sponsor me, I am not asking them to cut me deals. I am just saying I would like as much help as they are willing to provide. Especially if i am going to put as much money into the evo as i have in my eclipse. Does this also mean that i wait till may on ordering parts, NO! I was buying parts for my eclipse before i had the car.

Is it just me or is most threads on this site, even with legit questions like this one, just turn into flame wars? For future reference, though, you might want to pm the vendor you have questions for directly. You will definately get a faster answer than, posting a thread up and getting flamed for it. Best of luck on your new ride.

Here's another idea....just ignore the a-holes that flame ya because there might be others on this forum that could be interested the same info you are seeking. But unfortunately they (the a-holes) can only think about themselves and can show no restraint when they can hide behind a monitor.
So I say to ya, congrats on the purchase and I hope you find what you are looking for. Eric and the crew at AMS are good guys and know what they are doing. Good luck.

No, I have not purchased the evo 9 yet. I say may b/c I am graduating college at the end of april with a chemical engineering degree and I already have a job lined up. Also I plan on purchasing parts that I can afford up until then. My dad worked at the mitsubishi dealership for 9 years and I have many people I know there. We have already discussed them ordering one for me and the lucky price I will be getting on it. It is hilarious that these people want to rip me on here and don't know me. I know many people such as ricers post about i am going to buy an evo tomorrow, but i am by far not that person. If I am buying parts and I don't have the car yet, you can be certain I am getting the car. If you don't believe me, that is cool just remember this name in the near future.

Gentleman,

This is AMS's forum and AMS was ask the question not you. The stupid replies have been noted and removed. We are really getting tired of this abrasive and rude attitude toward new members. Do not destroy a thread by flaming and OT comments. Report the post if you are squirming in your chair concerning a newbie question. Thanks.
