Come watch the AMS Time attack car!!
REMEMBER:
The goal for One Lap is to survive. Don't loose focus of that. There are cars starting to drop left and right.
To finish in the top 10, again, would, again, be a testament to this team, and the car. I will promise you, tires aside, there will be no would of's or should of's. They are kicking *ss, and taking names. Forget about the 4 cars in front of them, and look at the 80+ behind.
Granted, I like to win, probably more than anyone here. That is why I am not out there, because if I can't win, I don't play .....
Tell the guys not to loose focus, Luke is still on the Edge, and we are still getting faster.....................in the dry (couldn't resist

in regards to the tires, seems people have a lot of questions.
To compete in the one lap of america event you have to purchase tires from tire rack. There are only certain tire models available to you. They are actually stamped on the sidewall "OLA06"
We chose the MX's because they had a good dry rating and were fairly inexpensive. We have nobody to blame but ourselves for not getting reviews on wet traction. It could very well cost us a 1st place class finish in this event. If you take away the wet skidpad and this mornings run we are sitting very comfortably in first. We know this but there is nothing we can do about it. once your tires are chosen you are required to run them the remainder of the event.

That was what I was curious with. The ECSTA MX isnt terrible either, but in the future I would assume that there are better options available.
I also posted not realizing that it had begun already! Start throwing some smack down...
I'll be at Road America rain or shine to cheer on AMS. I hope it's dry. It's a shame the drag race was cancelled. That was going to be the clincher, especially in the rain. It's weird how AMS could lose in class and still place higher overall than the STi.
There are better options out there, but for the price you can't beat it. Also keep in mind for your typically daily driving the MX's will be more than enough. I know the only time i have noticed issues in the rain is when i am tryign to go full out.

well looks like we are 25 points back from luke in class which will be very very tough to catch.
Better then a class win is the fact that we have a really good chance of a top five finish overall.
Rain or shine we are pushing the next few days. Jon Feeds off of enthusiasm. Get some people out there to cheer him on.

Because we have won 9 events to their 5, two of which two were when we broke which killed our over all score. When we broke we got a total of 100 points for the day where ams made around 700 additional for their overall score. Since we were first in class when we broke we didn't loose a whole lot because we had an early lead, and went down to 4th in class... some 40 points from them. Its much easier to gain 40 points than 700.
But what really matters is how we are both killing these big hp cars, and not how we stack up against each other.
