3rd overall in the first session, still 5th overall for the event. Any word on the second session? Did they even run a second session at RA?
Talking to Martin at Putnam yesterday, he said they would not be running the TimeAttack event. The longer sessions, and stickier tires and resultant higher g loads would likely lead to an oil starvation problem. They have already seen signs of this during the One Lap, pulling sustained 1.3g's at Putnam on the Kumhos. No sense in killing the engine.

Luke maintained and even widened the lead by about 10 in the first session. Luke finished 1st overall (got 440 points) while AMS was 3rd overall (430 points).
After the first session the Porsche 996TT has 6240 points, the 2nd place Z06 has 5760, and AMS Evo 3rd with 5705.

First off in the words of Doug from Top speed

Jon didnt do bad the two session, luke was just that damn good.
Doug couldnt of said it better, its amazing how our two cars are tossing around some of these heavy hitters despite the problems we both have been having.
To be in the top 4 overall going into the last event is NUTS, despite tire issues, BOV issues, dipstick issues. Both of our teams have persisted to be at the front of the pack the entire time.
Currently we are 3rd overall with luke right on our heels in 4th and 2nd in class. Luke pretty much has mid priced sedan wrapped up barring a 1st place class finish by AMS and lask place finish by Luke on the skidpad
Tomorrow will tell the story.
Thank you to all the Tim (white77), Fireball and all the EVO M members that made it out to RA today to cheer us on. I know it was wet and cold and dreary but it means alot to Jon, Martin and the whole AMS team. If last year didnt hook us enough this year has sealed the deal. Road Racing will be a big part of this shops future. Thanks again and wish us luck in this final event. we are going out swinging!!!
