You might want to change your avatar til in the meantime Before you do any more mods learn to drive the car well, once you get consistent then go ahead and do some more work.
You would probably be better off with some street tires as well. If you're not launching correctly (clearly you're not) more grip is just going to put extra shock on the expensive drivetrain parts.

um i can drive the car well just i have never been to the track before, i think a 12.2 for the first time with the methanol not working isnt too bad. So thanks for your comment. And the track prep is terrible there on midnight madness ask ams about the bad prep. Even with drag radials on the street i still cant hook off the line. Im just waiting till a test n tune where they prep alot better and you get more than 4 runs. Im not planning on building the motor till winter so ive got some more time to get low 11's.

Not trying to be a jerk, but face facts... When your '60 ranges from 1.9-2.9, no matter how bad the track prep is, you need to work on your driving.

are you retarded, i clearly said that was my first time at the track and first time ever using the 2-step. I always end up racing people from roll's where i live because you can never get a light. So if it was your first time at the track or launching your car i dont think you would be cutting 1.6-1.7 60's. So going one more time and having everything working right im sure i will be well into the 11's but thanks for your support on telling me i need to learn how to drive.

Look sweetheart, no need to get all defensive. It would take a retard to look at the times you ran and the your 60' and think you DON'T need to work on your driving. Launching equals part of driving by the way. I was simply trying to give you some advice, but since you're such a great driver maybe I should ask you for some

P.S. I cut 1.8 60' times in my DSM the very first time I went to the track almost 15 years ago

well thanks for your comments but dont call me that k. If the methanol was even working correctly im sure my traps would have been in the 120's but the green light was never coming on. My times gradually got better, so when i get the chance to go again i think it will be another story.

Yup, keep it up. You did a hell of a lot better than me the first time I took the car down the track.

I'll be trying the new BR3065 out in a week or so.

Once again good luck next time.

I would stick to street tires until you get the hang of how to launch the car and how to modulate the twin disc. You may spin a little, but spinning is safe, hopping is very, very dangerous to your diff.

After a few trips to the track, you will be a lot more calm at the line (at least I was) and you will be able to concentrate on the numerous little things that make the difference between a good run and a bad run. The thing a lot of people don't realize, is that every run is different. Like it or not, you will let the clutch out different every time, you will need to feather the throttle differently every time, and your tires will hook up differently every time. The only way to turn all of these differences into consistently good runs is to get the feel for each one and know how to react to them. And the only way to do that, is practice.

Don't be disappointed if you don't run an 11 next time you go to the track. All you should worry about is getting a good, fast, and SAFE launch, after that, the times will drop. And fixing your meth should take care of the trap speeds for sure, so don't worry about shifting faster until you get the launch down.

Just my $0.02. Good luck to you.

Crz, what are you using for engine management? I'm curious to see what kind of safety mechanism there is to switch the tune from conservative (no meth) to aggressive (meth spraying).

aem ems. Went to the track again last night and best pass was 12.0 with a 1.89 60', my last pass i cut a 1.75 60' but missed 3rd gear and ran a 12.3 so i would have made it into the 11's. But there's always next time.

again, what were your trap speeds? That will tell us if your meth repairs got all the HP back that you were missing last time.

The ET's are much better, congrats on the 12.0. Keep working on those 60' times though. I run a 1.75-1.79 second 60' with 300whp on street tires, pump gas, no meth and a stock block and turbo. You should be deep into the 11's if you keep working on your technique.

it seems like when you launch with the methanol it doesnt want to kick on sometimes. The light didnt come on for the 12.0 1.89 60' the trap was 116, the 12.3 i cut the 1.75 but misses 3rd really bad it didnt want to go in at all. trapped 113 im sure if i wouldnt have missed third it would have been mid 11's at 121-122.

So do you have a failsafe system for your injection?
