That's better, but with that much power, your traps really should be higher. At least 120mph. Your meth really doesn't appear to be working properly. Be careful because running that much boost without it could cause some serious, and expensive problems.

I'm guessing your knock control is set up properly, or else we would be having a completely different conversation.

ya its running fine, just the methanol likes to be gay sometimes. I installed my koyo small radiator today and that was a pain in the ***. I had to remove the ac condencer and all the ac lines and cut off a bracked on the bottom just to install the damn thing but it sure looks good now.

Thumbs up

well i went again friday night with some crappy 12.0-12.3 2.3 60's and then saturday afternoon and finally cut a 1.64 60' and ran 11.19 at 124. And after that run the car ran terrible. The car sounded like a wrx after that and i knew something wasnt right. Took it home and found out it was running on 3 cylinders. One of the spark plugs was completely smashed against the electrode. I believe somethings messed up with my 2-step also because we changed the plugs and it was running fine after and then i tryed the 2-step but let off and went slowly taking off and it was bogging real bad sounding like a wrx because way too much fuel im thinking was in the cylinders. So im done racing for now since i was booted from the track but when im up there this winter i need my 2-step to be checked out because its acting up on me.

That is why alcohol or methanol will never be one of my mods. I honestly believe you saw some serious detonation and dodged a bullet by getting off the track without a blown motor. Chances are it only happened once or twice during the run, probably near the end and that's what what closed that gap for you. If you pull your head I bet you'll see some signs of detonation.

You probably just need to tweak it a little bit. Either that or your ignition coil is messed up from being driven with the bad spark plug.

Great run, but don't drive your car until you can pull the head and do an inspection.

i think i got lucky with the spark plug eventually going out because the car is running better than it ever has ive just been staying off the two step because i think thats what messed it up. We took the valve cover off and checked all around with a flashlight and didnt see any damage or metal pieces so i think i just got lucky.

well consider yourself a bullet-dodger, but pulling the valve cover won't tell you anything.

I honestly believe if you pull the head you will see signs of detonation (dimples, hot spots, possible cracked ring lands, etc.). You just didn't have any that was bad enough to bend a rod or crack a piston.
