AMS Stg. 3 questions...

Well...i'm SOON to be selling my SRT-4. I miss the AWD traction and winter capabilities of my GSX but there so unreliable and the evo is VERY reliable and snowable (if thats a word...)

What is the approx hp/tq and 1/4 mile times of the AMS stg. 3...i'll be buying all 3 stages at once and i'm not looking to go big turbo right away since I have a lot to pay for right now.

Thanx ahead of time!

Well, their website the stage 3 is rougly a cammed evo tuned on an safc-II w/injectors.

If you're running a flash you wouldn't need injectors for proper tuning/etc, and your hp/tq would be dependent upon the size of your cams, the dyno you're on, and many other variables.

Maybe 305-335whp??? (03-05, IX I have no clue)
definitely guessing, just trying to give you an idea until they can answer the question for you.

1/4 mile times completely depend on driving. =)

Mine with a conservative tune was 314awhp. With more aggressive tune, and more boost, you could do more, i am sure.

I live 45 minutes from AMS so I would be going there.

So basically I would probably go with a flash, maybe 1 size bigger injecotorss (650?), and some JUN 272 / 272 cams...

Whats the average 1/4 mile time on the stg. 3 tho...

WHAT WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO GET INTO THE 11's!!!

IIRC, the JUN cams have some insane lift and you'll need springs&retainers and maybe even AEM EMS to get them to idle, not sure though.

I have the GSC 272/272s and theyre great. I put down 315awhp on a safe tune with a high flow cat @ 21lbs boost and the car is a blast to drive.

I live like 45min away from AMS too

I could be wrong, but I don't think you'd be in the 11s with just stage 3 on 93oct. I think youd need racegas or meth and a tune for it or something and then you'd probably be there.

I am going to AMS this Tuesday and Wednesday (the 18th and 19th) to have them install:
HKS 272/272 cams
10.5 single flapper hotside
HKS EVC 5 boost controller
AMS FMIC
samco IC hoses
walboro pump
ARP studs

They will then dynotune the car; i will be videotaping the dyno session so i will post up the dynograph and/or video on the wednesday or thursday when i am back

I currently have a RSR turboback exhaust, APS blow off valve and works filter; so with the addition of the new parts it will be quite comparable to the stage 3 setup

I put down 317 hp/305 tq on 20psi and comp cams 272 plus, ams mbc, ams licp, ams front mount, ams flash, ams tbe with test pipe, and fidanza cam gears(still need to get the cam gears adjusted) and my plugs were bad. After replacing the plugs(copper for the iridium gas mileage improved and no black smoke coming from the exhaust after a hard pull). I asked and was told that bigger injectors were not needed at this time. car is extremely fun to drive now .

I have a fully AMS Built car, before the 50 trim turbo I was at 353 whp and 345 torque. That is what the stage 3, and the VSR intake manifold.

I would absolutley do injectors, I am running a bigger turbo and I am still okay with AMS 680 injectors.

Stick with their stages, you will be amazed at the results! You have to remember every car is completly different. Some are freaks of nature with power and others not so much. To run 11's is going to be a bit harder than you think! I would also check with AMS about Jun cams on SAFC2 or a flash, I heard they are very hard to get to idle right without a standalone.
