I haven't gotten it properly tuned yet, but I noticed an immediate boost in performance. You have to figure that most exhausts deliver about the same in performance. A 3" exhaust is a 3" exhaust for the most part. The areas you're going to notice more are weight, sound & fitment.

I really like the AMS TBE system. What you hear in that sound clip is just the CBE, but it honestly sounds exactly the same as the TBE. This is with the high flow cat though. I'm sure it'd be a lot louder with a test pipe.

There are other exhausts that weigh less than the AMS system, but not by much. The weight of the AMS system is really competitive... minus those titanium exhausts which are uber expensive.

My only real beef with the AMS exhaust in terms of fitment is the down pipe. You will NOT get the down pipe to fit under the stock tie bars. No way, no how. Unless you want to beat the shiz and bend your tie bars, and then add spacers to get the clearance you need, you will have to be an aftermarket lower arm brace.

I ordered this one: http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...&cat=16&page=1

But there are other braces by Cusco, Tanabe and some others that should work as well.

(sorry not trying to hijack your thread but i don't want to clog the forums with a new one)
I got the Full TBE from AMS, I must say the Quality Is just outstanding the pipes are nice and straight with little bends, and the mid pipe is kinda polished but the muffler has a mirror finish. It is completely stainless and you can tell. As far as fit Goes, its unbeatable simply put its one of the best fitting exhaust on the market (if not the best), no clearence problems not even on the underbraces by the downpipe. The tip does exit straight and sticks out alittle so its not JDM bumper freindly . The sound is very deep although alittle raspy but not like a honda or anything, at idle when the car is warmed up it pretty quiet but if you're ripping it it gets loud, but that doesn't bother me. Performance wise I am pretty impressed, I don't have a tune yet and a exhaust is my only mod so far, the car pulls much harder and its very noticeable, although when trying to navigate in a tight parking lot its not as easy to keep running as with the stock exhaust, mainly because of the loss of restriction. Overall I am Extremely happy with the exhaust, the only way they could make this exhaust better would be to make in available in titanium and make it about 3/4" shorter. IMO this is the Best exhaust for an Evo, the fit is superb .

Its not Super Loud and its verry quiet at idle, but right in the 2000 rpm area it hits the right note that just peirces everything and its about 50db at 2000rpm but when you get up to 2500-3300rpm it quiets down again, as long as you aren't pushing the throttle alot. I personaly didn't care if the exhaust was gonna bet too loud, but its just right. In the morning its loud when you are warming up too. But not like Super loud, you can comfortably stand and talk to people with the car running near you.

Mine isn't loud while warming up and I don't notice anything at 2500-3000. The only time I really notice the exhaust being louder than usual is around 80 mph and 4000 rpms.
