AMS downpipe & tie bars...

Are there different versions of the AMS downpipe? 03 vs 06? Is it one size fits all?

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to get the AMS downpipe without modding the tie bars.

It will not fit the tie bar. You will need to put some washers to make it fit....

I think that pounding it flat is a more solid fix than washers.

Is this a common feature on all exhausts or just AMS?

I thought maybe they might have had a revised version of the downpipe for newer cars.

I dunno, but it really doesn't make any difference. Just make it so it doesn't rub and your golden!

You'd have to call AMS on that one. I took my tie bars off. I'm going with the RMR K-brace since the new downpipe sticks out even more.

You will have to either modify the bars or use spacers.
